Pass a Criminal Background Check administered by the Barnegat Police Department
Complete Physical Examination by a Licensed NJ Physician or Healthcare Provider
Receive Municipal Approval from the Barnegat Township Committee for Probationary Membership in the Barnegat Fire Company
Non-certified probationary firefighters are required to enroll in the Ocean County Fire Academy and complete New Jersey firefighter 1 certification within 12 months of acceptance in the Barnegat Fire Company.
